Prime and paint
A good primer seals the wall so the new paint goes on evenly.
Why walls can be tricky
Wallpaper applied over unprimed drywall can tear the paper face off the wall when pulled. We check for this before starting and plan extra repair time when needed, which is why the estimate looks at the walls first.
Wallpaper Removal questions
How long does it take?
Most rooms take one to two days for removal and repair, plus prime and paint. Larger rooms and multiple layers take longer.
Can you paint right over wallpaper?
We do not recommend it. Seams and texture show through and paint can peel off with the paper later.
Is there a mess?
Water and adhesive remover are used in small amounts, floors are protected, and we clean up when we finish.
